We'll be working to restore a section of this urban forest that provides important habitat biodiversity for many different species in the Snoqualmie valley by removing invasive plants, including blackberries, stinky bob, and ivy. This helps clear space for fall planting season.

Mark your calendar to join EvergreenTreez and the Green Snoqualmie Partnership for a fun volunteer event on Saturday, August 1st, 2026! We will be taking care of the forest around Borden Park on Snoqualmie Ridge, including Flicker Creek, by weeding out some invasive ivy, cutleaf blackberry, and Armenian blackberry that have been encroaching into the forest.
Do you enjoy strolling through the woods, admiring the towering black cottonwoods and classic Douglas-firs our urban forests have to offer? Now, imagine what it might look like a hundred years from now. On one hand, a forest properly cared for by community members would be vibrant and diverse, with trees young and old, thimbleberries and salmonberries ripe for snacking, and wildflowers like Cooley's hedge-nettle and false lily-of-the-valley feeding critters and pollinators. On the other hand, a forgotten forest would be swallowed by invasive blackberry and ivy, losing its character and having its food web collapse due to these invasive plants, habitat fragmentation, and climate change.
That's why concerned community members like yourself will venture into the woods, equipped with hand tools, gloves, and long pants to fight for the forest, all while chatting it up and enjoying each other's company!

Thank you for joining us for the Green Snoqualmie Summer of Service! On Saturday, August 8th, 2026 we will have an ecological restoration work party at the Silent Creek Forest from 9 AM-12 PM.
Are blackberries your jam? They sure are delicious, but did you know that there are two invasive species of blackberry here in Washington that are jamming up our forests and choking out native species? It's true; himilayan blackberry and cutleaf blackberry! But fear not, citizen hero, those blackberries will meet you and a small group of likeminded forest advocates. Clad in thick gloves, long sleeves, and pants (trust me). You'll use a variety of hand tools to lay waste to these forest invaders while chatting it up with your neighbors and enjoying the beauty of this important urban forest.

EvergreenTreez x The North Face Hike Club with @Yogiiibean | Saturday, October 3rd 2026 | Three Forks Natural Area | 39903 SE Park St, Snoqualmie, WA 98065
Join us on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, from 9 am to noon for a fun and first of it's kind collaboration between EvergreenTreez and The North Face Hike Club hosted by @Yogiiibean. It will be an active day featuring morning tree planting followed by an afternoon hike at Snow Lake.
Refreshments will be provided!
Schedule: Tree planting at Three Forks Natural Area 9am-12pm.
Meet at the Snow Lake Trailhead (Alpental Parking Lot) at 1 pm. We will start the hike shortly after.
