July 27 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Renton

Over the past year we have gotten a great foothold on restoring the healthy riparian forest along the banks of the Cedar River. Working with Forterra NW we've been able to remove a large swath of invasive blackberries and jewel weed. We've planted native Oregon Grape, Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce and Western Red Cedars that will contribute to the health of  this beautiful forest. Our continued efforts will help to preserve one of King Counties' major water sources and native Salmon Spawning grounds. Join us for a day of fresh air, fun and music as we continue to build healthy habitat. We'll celebrate our hard work with a BBQ along the banks of the river at noon! No tools or experience necessary; gloves and instruction provided.

August 3 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Snoqualmie

Jeanne Hansen park provides high value habitat for wildlife and access for residents and visitors to experience nature in the heart of Snoqualmie.  Unfortunately, many of the large EvergreenTreez at this park are nearing the end of their lives. Our long term goal is to reforest the space so that the habitat can sustain itself into the future. We will continue our initial removal of invasive species that threaten the young plants & treez and clear space for replanting in October. We'll celebrate our continued efforts with a BBQ under the sheltered area in the park at noon! Join us for a day of laughs, music and community and take in the sweeping views of Mt. Rainier and the lush Snoqualmie Valley. No tools or experience required; snacks and gloves provided.

October 5 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Green Snoqualmie Day

Green Snoqualmie Day is the culmination of our hard work over the summer and the annual celebration of the Urban Forests that make our community so unique. Join us and the rest of the Green Snoqualmie Partnership to plant hundreds of native treez and celebrate the power of community. This is our biggest volunteer event of the year and a great time to spend a morning outside giving back with family and friends. We'll be hosting a cookout, sponsoring the raffle and introducing our new collection of limited edition goods built for life in the treez. No tools or experience necessary; gloves, snacks and good times provided.
